1 1/2 cups/375 mL all-purpose flour

2 tsp / 10 mL baking powder

1/2 tsp /2.5 mL salt

1 cup/250 mL sour cream or plain whole-milk yogurt

1 cup/250 mL sugar

3 eggs 1 1/2 tsp / 7.5 mL Watkins Organic Pure Orange Extract

1/2 cup/125 mL vegetable oil

For syrup: 1/3 cup / 90 mL orange juice, 1/3 cup/90 mL sugar

Set oven to 350°F/180°C. Grease and flour loaf pan. In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk sour cream/yogurt, sugar, eggs and orange extract. Mix dry ingredients into wet. Fold oil into batter until incorporated. Pour into pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool cake 10 minutes. Syrup: Combine orange juice and sugar in a small pan and simmer until dissolved. Place cake on parchment/wax paper and poke holes on top with a toothpick. While cake is still warm, pour syrup over the cake. Cool and serve.
