Boron is a mineral that is required in trace amounts and that affects the way the body metabolizes various other minerals, including calcium, magnesium, copper and phosphorous. It is required for the maintenance of healthy bones and normal blood levels of estrogen and testosterone, as well as plays an integral part in the maintenance of healthy cognitive functions, especially in the elderly.
