Yacon is a root indigenous to the Andes of Peru and Bolivia. Also known as the Peruvian Ground Apple or Sunroot, it has been prized since the Incan civilization as a pleasantly sweet tasting tuber. Certified Organic Yacon Syrup (Smallanthus sonchifolius).

I have type 2 diabetes and have cut all sugar from my diet thanks to this product. I use as a replacement for sugar, honey and maple sugar in recipes and use as a sweetener in my tea. It has absolutely no aftertaste so is really tasty!

I just started using it cause it has great health benefits. One thing people “must” remember is if you are using it for the health benefit, you cannot heat/cook yacon up or you lose the potential/effects of it. On the other hand if it’s to add as a sweetener, you’re better off using this yacon as it has no sugars! Great stuff !!
Am glad I tried this syrup. It is tasty and works well in the receipts I've tried. It is pricey, but I like it.
Just trying this for the first time..I needed for a Thanksgiving recipe and found the syrup here. Healthy Planet had the best price and I lucked out with a shipping promotion. Yacon syrup is pricey but goes a long way. I'd recommend you try it!
This is a game changer for sweetening anything instead of using sugar. It has helped me and my husband loose weight. Its expensive but use it sparingly.
