L-Arginine is a conditionally essential basic amino acid involved primarily in urea metabolism and excretion, as well as DNA synthesis. L-Arginine is the substrate for the synthesis of nitric oxide (NO), a cell-derived relaxing factor that is essential for regulating vascular tone and blood flow. It also supports the manufacture of creatine, an energy substrate for muscles. 95% of creatine is located in the skeletal muscle. This powder version allows for controlled dosing.
Each level teaspoonful (5 mL) contains:
L-Arginine 2300 mg
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: None.
Adults: Protein synthesis: Take 1 to 3 level teaspoons (2.3 g to 6.9 g), 1 to 3 times per day between meals or at bedtime with a drink. Do not exceed 8 g per single dose or 21 g per day. Adults: Improvement in exercise capacity in individuals with stable CVD: Take 2 to 3 level teaspoons (4.6 g to 6.9 g), 2 to 3 times per day between meals or at bedtime with a drink. Do not exceed 8 g per single dose or 21 g per day. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 12 weeks.
Do not use if you have had a heart attack/myocardial infarction. Consult a health care practitioner if your cardiovascular condition worsens. Some people may experience gastrointestinal discomfort (such as diarrhea).
The powder works much better than Arginine in capsules ; I have stronger erection than before. I'm also taking L-Citrulline in capsules , but plan to stop it since this L-Arginine powder works so well ! ... except for the horrible taste , but you can get used to it ( it tastes like Baking Soda solution which I use to rinse my mouth with, to prevent gum disease ). The good thing about powder form is that there're no additives, preservatives of any kind, and it's cheaper than capsules per gram.
I guess it works. I'm healthy and have lots of energy. It does taste bad though. For weeks, I tied to determine what the taste was like and one day it finally hit me. It taste like a cheap can of sardines. Yes, sardines.
