When substituting Almond Flour for other flours used in recipes, use roughly the same amount of Almond Flour, but reduce the amount of liquid slightly. As with most recipe substitutions, some experimentation may be necessary to obtain the best results.
This almond flour is non-GMO and gluten free. I use it in combination with brown rice flour and coconut flour for baking. It’s delicious!
I found a recipe online for almond flour bread as I was looking for something healthy and low on the glycemic index. 2 pieces of commercial whole wheat bread has a higher glycemic index than a candy bar, so no more of that stuff. The bread I made only had 4 grams of carb per slice as opposed to 40 grams of carb per slice with the whole wheat bread.
I really enjoy this almond meal (flour) as they are organic and have also kept the skins on. Delicious and fresh, this is wonderful for mixing with other flours (substitutes for wheat) such as brown rice, millet, quinoa, etc. Almond meal imparts a rich, nutty flavour to breads, coatings for baked chicken, cakes and muffins. Delicious!
