Valerian Root
Valerian has many attributes in phytotherapy, the most widely known being its sedative effects. These are attributed to its relatively high content in gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which reduces neuronal excitability throughout the nervous system.
Valerian root has been valued for thousands of years to Assist induce Restful-Sleep—Hippocrates was already mentioning its properties in the fourth century before the Common Era. Its mechanism of action seems to be through binding to GABAA receptors, which are related to excitation levels of the nervous system. Valerian root extract is known to contain not only gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), but also various alkaloids and flavanones.

Directions Of Use
Adults: Take 1 teaspoon one to three times daily or as directed by your health- Wellness-Care practitioner.
