Grapefruit Seed Extract
The Grapefruit Seed Extract is derived from a high proanthocyanadin content, ensuring quality.
Grapefruit seed extract (GSE) comprises predominantly polyphenolic compounds, including quercetin, hesperidin, campherol glycoside, neohesperidin, naringin, apigenin, rutinoside, poncirin, and others. While the polyphenols themselves are unstable, they undergo a chemical conversion into more stable substances, falling into the diverse category known as quaternary ammonium compounds. Certain quaternary compounds, such as benzethonium chloride and benzalkonium chloride, are employed industrially as antimicrobials but are toxic to animal life. Consequently, these compounds are not detectable in significant amounts in our GSE. Choline, a B vitamin and another quaternary compound, is non-toxic and essential for maintaining healthy neurological function and fat metabolism.
GSE combines the advantages of grapefruit-derived quaternary compounds, exhibiting broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity without the toxic side effects of chemically derived quaternaries. Independent laboratory testing on "Acute Oral Toxicity" indicates that it would require at least 4,000 times the normal dose of GSE to have a 50% chance of causing poisoning (LD50).
Grapefruit seed extract has been successfully employed in humans and animals to eliminate various types of internal and external infections caused by parasites (single- and multicelled), viruses, bacteria, and fungi. It naturally detoxifies, enhances, and supports the immune system, proving highly effective in numerous applications.
High levels of vitamins C and E, along with bioflavonoids, are present in grapefruit seed extract. These essential substances exhibit antioxidant action, neutralizing free radicals that damage cells and contribute to various illnesses.

Directions

Cautions and warnings
Do not exceed recommended dose. Contraindications
Do not use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding; if you have been diagnosed with a gastric or duodenal ulcer; or if you have high stomach acidity.
