Astaxanthin Plus combines AstaREAL® astaxanthin, one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants, with lutein and zeaxanthin to protect cells from oxidative damage. Astaxanthin Plus is cardioprotective, supports the immune system, and protects the skin from premature aging and other health risks associated with UV exposure. Astaxanthin also helps maintain gastrointestinal and eye health.

Each softgel contains:

Astaxanthin (Haematoccus pluvialis) (whole) ...........................................4 mg
Lutein (marigold flower) (Tagetes erecta) .................................................1 mg
Zeaxanthin (marigold flower) (Tagetes erecta)...................................170 mcg

Suggested Use

Adult dose: 1 softgel daily or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Cautions

Stomach/abdominal pain has been known to occur, in which case discontinue use.

Sylkken Powerful Antioxidant Posted on 2017-11-02: I have read that this antioxidant is much more powerful than vitamin E (which I also take) and is good to reduce inflammation. So far so good although I suppose time will tell. The price is reasonable and if the research is accurate is a great value.

Label reads 'Powerful Cell Protection'. Who doesn't want and need that in this day and age.

Lorien K Excellent Product Posted on 2016-12-16: I used to get this from the States, but I'm glad to see the good pricing here on the natural type. I have been taking this for a few years for skin health(wrinkles and photo aging), but it also improves visual acuity, improves muscles and physical endurance, inhibits inflammatory markers and improves cardiovascular health. According to my previous research, astaxanthin as an antioxidant is 550 times stronger than vitamin E, 40 times stronger than beta carotene, and 17 times stronger than grape seed extract.
