Cooking Instructions (Step by Step):
Stovetop Cooking Instructions:
1. Using a fine mesh sieve, rinse 1 cup of rice under cold water for 1-2 minutes and drain.
2. Combine rice, 1½ cup water, and butter or oil (optional) in a pot, and bring to a boil.
3. Cover with a tight-fitting lid, reduce heat to low-simmer, and cook for 15 minutes.
4. Remove from heat (keep covered) and let steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork.
*If rice is too firm at the end of cooking time, add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook for 3-5 minutes.
Rice Cooker Cooking Instructions: To prepare in a rice cooker, use same liquid to rice ratio.
