Neem oil is prized for its ability to cool and calm, feed and nourish even the most sensitive skin and scalps. Neem oil is renowned for protection and prevention and has been used for thousands of years for its ability to promote healthy skin, hair, scalp and encourage hair growth.
Ingredients: 100% Organic Neem Seed Oil.
Safe for direct application to the skin mixing with a carrier oil, or added to your favorite shampoo or body care product.
I've been using essential oils as scalp treatments and had to surrender most of them due to worsening of the problems, so I bought this neem oil to add to my hair regimen in the hopes it would help continue to keep the previous persistent, unknown scalp residue away and decongest the hair follicles. My hopes are the properties in neem oil will create a healthy scalp environment and help reduce the premature shedding of immature hairs and restore the density.
I use this oil and rosemary oil diluted to a 3% and 4% solution in a single jojoba carrier oil twice a week before shampooing, and although I've only used this new blend twice, so far, my scalp is maintaining its clean mantle, which is a great thing. However, upon testing before and after, my hair definitely sheds more whenever I use this oil blend, which sucks, so I'm going to give it a few more weeks and then quit. Incidentally, the smell of this oil is INTENSELY skunk like, and even diluted and post shampoo, a residual odor remains on my scalp, so I'll be happy when this is over and will try an oregano oil blend instead. That said, if this hadn't negatively affected the shedding, I'd persevere through the smell, because it's not so offensive to cause gagging. It just reeks of heavy duty skunk.
Don't listen to first persons comment under me, neem oil does stink, that means it's GOOD!
This product smells horrible. Cannot use it.
