Magnesium, the second most abundant mineral in the body’s cells, supports heart function and muscle strength and aids in the prevention of headaches and migraines. Dietary sources are easily destroyed through cooking and processing, so supplementation is vital. Sisu Magnesium 250 mg delivers 250 mg of elemental magnesium from magnesium malate along with the additional benefits of malic acid.
Magnesium is the second most abundant mineral in the body’s cells; it is involved in over 300 biochemical reactions in the body and is crucial for the proper functioning of every organ. However, it is one of the nutrients lost in cooking and processing and the body is not good at storing magnesium, so it is vital to get enough of it through supplementation. Magnesium is also depleted by the use of certain medications including antibiotics, diuretics, and oral contraceptives, and magnesium levels are typically low in people who have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and kidney disease. Excess consumption of coffee, alcohol, salt, and soda drinks, as well as heavy menstrual periods, excessive sweating, and prolonged stress can also contribute to low magnesium levels, and ultimately to magnesium deficiency. Magnesium deficiency is difficult to diagnose and is not associated with any symptoms at first, but inadequate magnesium reserves may contribute to many conditions including muscle pain and weakness, restless leg syndrome, abnormal heart rhythms, low blood pressure, headaches, nausea and vomiting, agitation and irritability, poor nail growth, and more. Magnesium supplements are an easy and reliable way to ensure consistent adequate intake of this crucial mineral and some forms such as magnesium malate in Sisu Magnesium offer additional benefits from malic acid.
Each capsule contains

I really notice it when I don't take it. It helps decrease cramping of the feet and calves and decreases constipation.
I initially started taking to help ease morning sickness, and noticed how much better I started sleeping. My babe is now 8 mo old and I continue to take it and tell everyone about it! I fall asleep quickly, STAY ASLEEP, and if I do get woken up find I fall back asleep with ease.
I have been taking this magnesium for over 10 years now and will not stop taking it. It helps me with my leg cramps, sleeping and being regular! I take it every day and sometimes at night as it is really calming. I have tried all sorts of brands and keep coming back to this one.
I find Sisu brand magnesium is the best. This helps in getting a sound sleep.
Works wonders on a sluggish digestive system. Also seems to help general aches and pains.
I really like this product and I'm going to order again for the third time . It help me with constipation and also my mom use it too. She finds some relive on the restless leg sindrome .
Have suffered in the past from back pain and figured that magnesium might help relieve some of the cramping I can get. While it doesn't make it go away it makes it easier to do the stretches I need to do to keep my back mobile. It can't hurt to keep my heart strong either. Again the SISU line of products seem to contain what they claim to be inside.
I wanted a magnesium supplement with malic acid, to help with muscle pain. What I didn't take account of, was that this formulation, at this dosage strength, could cause diarrhea, notwithstanding that it theoretically is an easier to tolerate form of magnesium made with malic acid. I have since learned that if you are magnesium deficient (the basis, some doctors assert, for many illnesses), you will almost certainly get this adverse reaction; this/the degree varies by person though. The solution proposed by these docs is to start with a much lower dose, until your body gets used to absorbing it. Then you can slowly increase to a higher dosage. My recommendation: a great product, but not the first magnesium supplement you should try, because of the high dosage!
