K2 Drops
Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin involved in normal blood clotting and bone metabolism. There are three primary forms of vitamin K: K1 (phytonadione), K2 (menaquinone), which can be produced by natural gut bacteria, and K3 (menadione), a synthetic version. Research has shown that vitamin K2 plays an important role in maintaining bone function.
Menaquinone-7 (MK-7), a long-chain form of vitamin K2, is known to activate osteocalcin—a protein involved in the regulation of calcium within bones. It works in combination with vitamin D3 to influence mineralization processes in bones and teeth.
CanPrev’s K2 (K2VITAL) features a unique MK-7 form derived through organic synthesis from non-soy plant oils, including geraniol and farnesol. This process yields a pure, active, and 100% trans form of MK-7, identical to the compound found in nature and those made through fermentation. The organic synthesis method provides a consistent and stable form of MK-7 in its all-trans configuration.
CanPrev’s K2 Drops deliver 30mcg of vitamin K2 (MK-7) per drop, suspended in a base of medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil. MCT oil is a stable fat source that facilitates the absorption of fat-soluble compounds like vitamin K2.
