Gluten Free All-Purpose Baking Flour is a blend of garbanzo bean flour, potato starch, whole grain white sorghum flour, tapioca flour and fava bean flour. It’s just the thing for those sensitive to gluten. Our Gluten Free All-Purpose Baking Flour can replace wheat flour in a variety of recipes with the addition of xanthan gum or guar gum.
One serving of 34 grams contains 3.5 grams of whole grains and 10% of the recommended daily serving of fiber. This flour can be made into delicious homemade baked goods such as cakes, cookies, breads, and breakfast items such as muffins, pancakes, and waffles. Tips for use and a recipe for scrumptious gluten free chocolate chip cookies are on the label.
This gluten free product was handled exclusively in our dedicated gluten free facility and tested for gluten free integrity in our quality control laboratory using an ELISA Gluten Assay test. Kosher
As a continued commitment to the quality of the products we make and sell, all of Bob’s Red Mill products are certified kosher pareve or kosher dairy by Rabbi Avrohom Teichman of Kehilla Kosher, Igud HaKashrus of Los Angeles. Vegan
All Bob’s Red Mill products are vegetarian. This product is also vegan, meaning it is made without the use of any animal products including eggs, dairy, and honey.
I use it in all my baking. It does have a "gluten free" scent as per my family but still the one I favour.
Good alternative for those with gluten sensitivities.
I tried multiple times to make this flour work in my baked GF goods, but there is no way I can stomach it--the bean flours in the blend taste very strong and overwhelm the final goods, no matter how many spices and other strong flavours I add. (I even tried a very chocolate-heavy cookie and all we could taste was the unpalatable bean.)
I find it's the same thing with other Bob's Red Mill GF mixes--too much bean in the mix. For those whose taste buds are overwhelmed by strong flours, I recommend buying multiple other Bob's Red Mill single flours with lighter flavours (e.g., rice, tapioca, potato), blending them at home, and adding xanthan gum as necessary--this results in lighter-tasting baked goods.
Great consistency and taste; used as a 1:1 ratio with regular baking recipes with excellent results, it is never too dense.
Great choice for gluten free diet breads and pie crusts. Good price here. thanks healthy planet.
