Ways I De-Stress During A Global Pandemic by @lifestylebycp

Hi friends! I hope everyone is well & staying healthy! It’s been such a hot minute since I last jumped on here - between wrangling 2 kids, projects around the house & some collaborations I’ve been working on behind the scenes, it has kept this mama quite busy! On today’s blog post, I’ll be sharing with you ways I do to de-stress during this global pandemic that we are all currently experiencing. If there’s anything I’ve learned during this pandemic is that it is so important to listen to our bodies & tend to its needs. Being away from your crew can be so emotionally & physically draining therefore taking a step back & doing some of these things listed below can lift your mood & spirits.

Take a Bath - nothing screams relaxation than taking a nice warm bath. Baths can help alleviate tense muscle, improve mood, calm nerves & reduce levels of anxiety. I personally love incorporating Buck Naked Soap Bath Bombs into my baths because they are vegan, made with all natural ingredients and biodegradable which is so amazing for our environment. If I am feeling real fancy, I love adding a few drops of Aromaforce Lavender Essential Oil in my bath water as well as under my pillow to promote deep relaxation & better quality of sleep. Studies has shown that lavender essential oil can help lift mood, reduce anxiety and depression.

Treatyoself - other than a really good face mask, I’ve been really digging the Andalou Naturals Silky Smooth Deep Conditioning Hair Mask to unwind after a long day. What I really love about this hair mask other than it’s deep hydrating properties, is that it is certified organic, naturally derived, vegan and cruelty free. I like to do this while I am taking a bath & just be in the moment.

Tea Time - another way I like to de-stress & unwind for the night is a cup of warm tea. My go to tea to help my body & mind relax is Traditional Medicinal Organic Classic Chamomile. Chamomile is one of the top herbal teas that helps reduce stress & anxiety by naturally increasing serotonin and melatonin levels that aids in relaxing and relieving tension in our bodies.

Bring on the Snacks - if you guys know, you’d know this girl loves her snacks. My diet is far from perfect but I try my hardest to make healthy choices while satisfying my cravings. I’ve been such a huge fan of homemade kale chips since straight out of the womb (dramatic I know but you get the point) however, if I don’t have time to make my own, the Solar Raw Food Ultimate Kale Chips has been one of my go to. Raw, organic, vegan and jam packed with so much flavour, vitamins, and minerals. Another crunchy snack that I recently discovered & fell in love deeply is the Rawcology Coconut Chips which is made out of clean organic ingredients and does not contain preservatives. Lastly for the sweet cause I definately did not forget, the Alter Eco Chocolate bars are seriously out of this world good. All organic ingredients, fair trade certified and contains zero refined sugar.

And there you have it, those are ways I do to help me de-stress during this global pandemic. If there is something you are doing that helps you de-stress, leave them in the comments below!
