Ubiquinol CoQ10100mg
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), the sole lipid-soluble antioxidant synthesized endogenously, serves established roles as a free radical scavenger in mitochondrial and lipid membranes. It acts as an essential electron carrier in cellular respiration, contributing to ATP production, and has recently been identified as an influencer of gene expression.
Given CoQ10's pivotal role in mitochondrial function and cellular antioxidant defense, its clinical applications are broad. Several health conditions necessitate supplemental CoQ10 to elevate levels, including general antioxidant Aid, cardiovascular diseases (such as high blood pressure, congestive Cardio Health failure, cardiomyopathy, Protection-Plan-Plan during cardiac surgery, and high cholesterol treated with drugs, especially statins), migraine headaches, male infertility, Alzheimer's (for Preventive-Wellness-Car-e), Parkinson's disease (for Preventive-Wellness-Car-e and Health-Wellness-Car-e), and macular degeneration.
The reduced form of CoQ10, ubiquinol, has emerged as a more effective therapy for elevating plasma CoQ10 levels compared to most forms of ubiquinone, attributed to its enhanced solubility.
Benefits
- Increases plasma levels of CoQ10 significantly more per mg compared to ubiquinone
- Allows for higher peak plasma levels of CoQ10, especially when higher plasma CoQ10 are required
- Ubiquinol is a highly absorbable and bioavailable form of CoQ10
- Kaneka Q+ brand for ubiquinol is naturally produced via yeast fermentation and is free of the impurities of synthetically processed CoQ10

Drug Interactions
Although existing evidence has not found an interaction, CoQ10 resembles vitamin K structurally, potentially interfering with the anticoagulant warfarin. Close monitoring of the INR is recommended with CoQ10 introduction in these patients. No other negative drug interactions are known for CoQ10, though a number of Health Products are thought to interfere with CoQ10 synthesis or function in the body, including statin Health Products, tricyclic antidepressants and oral hypoglycemic agents.
