Emu Oil Soap
A deep penetrating natural emollient for softening and moisturizing skin. Naturally contains linoleic & oleic fatty acids and Vitamins E & A. For dry, irritated or damaged skin – won’t clog pores.
Emu oil is an excellent moisturizer. We enrich the bar with emu oil rather than convert the oil into soap. That way the emu oil is unchanged and its benefits are not lost or adulterated. We put in as much extra emu oil as the bar can take without becoming too soft to keep its shape. You feel the richness when you grasp the bar.
INGREDIENTS: Sodium Tallowate, Sodium Cocoate, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Emu Oil
A couple years ago I developed a sensitivity to synthetic fragrance and react to several essential oils too, so I have been trying out a variety of unscented, all-natural toiletries for many months. When I ordered some other things here I threw in a few of Soap Works' unscented options, since I thought their glycerin one was ok when I tried it last year, & their prices are great. I was surprised when I opened my box, to smell a strong smell sort of like Zest, Palmolive or Dove or one of those "refreshing fragrance" bars, and I traced it to the Emu Soap. I was ticked off because I ordered some detox teas and their boxes smell of the stuff now too! (Ironic that something toxic may have gotten on my detox tea ha ha. I tossed the boxes & kept just the bags to be safe.) And my guy has the soap out in his car to try to give away to someone else as I can't have it in the house. I just don't get it! I searched amazon reviews and there's not one mention of this soap smelling. I think the bar I got must have been contaminated by fluke, for instance perhaps it was stored next to something smelly and soaked up the smell. Maybe the no-wrapper concept has its drawbacks.
On the bright side, the other soaps packed with it didn't soak up the smell and have no odor of their own. I tried the Goat Milk one just now and I am in love with it!
The Soap Works is a great soap company and they have a great variety. My concern about this is that Emu Oil is very expensive so how much could there actually be inside this $1.99 soap bar? Probably very little. The soap itself is not bad, but I doubt there is much Emu oil in it - so I had to deduct a few stars for that reason.
giant bird oil. great for cleaning skin without drying and smells good too. cheap as well. The Soap Works is the king of high quality, low cost soaps.
